剧情反转得很离谱。视频说这是场误会——那 300 万加元是「合法游戏赢来的」，警察放人。接着一个 AI 合成的戴维斯父亲开口劝大家去玩他玩过的同一个站点，加拿大说唱歌手 Drake 的 AI 形象也出来背书。点进去一看，跳转到 Oxibet，一家注册在科摩罗的站点，根本不在阿尔伯塔的持牌名单里。
戴维斯的经纪人 Nedal Huoseh 直接定性：「全是谎言。」他说戴维斯跟任何游戏网站都没有关联，还准备追责。这也不是第一次——2023 年就有人拿他的形象做过广告。
阿尔伯塔 7 月 13 日刚上线受监管的 iGaming 市场，是加拿大第二个照安省样子开的省份。上线前，该省约七成线上游戏资金流向了离岸站点，官方平台 Play Alberta 只拿到三成左右。如今 31 家持牌站点在运营，营收上缴 20%。Oxibet 不在名单上。
离岸站的广告战也升级了。库拉索的 Gravira 直接发对比广告攻击持牌的 Bet365，声称游戏更多、提款更快、送得更多。这对平台方案的启发很直接：合规不是上线后补的事，是安全与数据合规从架构期就要写进条款里的东西。

In mid-September, an Instagram ad dragged Canadian soccer star Alphonso Davies into a scam. An account called Prime Spin Zone posted a clip: an AI-generated scene showed Davies's father being led away by Edmonton police, a vault of cash in the frame.
The twist was absurd. The video claimed it was a misunderstanding — the CAD 3 million came from "legal gaming winnings," so police let him go. An AI-made version of Davies's father then tells viewers to play the same site he did, with an AI likeness of Canadian rapper Drake chiming in. Clicking through lands on Oxibet, a platform registered in Comoros that is not on Alberta's licensed list.
Davies's agent, Nedal Huoseh, called it straight: "It's all lies." He said Davies has no ties to any gaming site and plans to go after those responsible. It is not the first time — a 2023 wave used his image too.
Alberta flipped on a regulated iGaming market on July 13, the second Canadian province to follow Ontario's model. Before launch, about 70 per cent of online gaming money in the province went to offshore sites, leaving the official Play Alberta platform roughly 30 per cent. Today 31 licensed operators run, paying 20 per cent of revenue to the province. Oxibet is not among them.
The offshore ad game has escalated too. Gravira, out of Curaçao, runs comparison ads attacking licensed Bet365, claiming more games, faster withdrawals and bigger offers. The lesson for a platform plan is plain: compliance is not a post-launch add-on, it is something security & compliance work bakes in from architecture onward.
Dale Nally, Alberta's minister of Service Alberta and Red Tape Reduction, put it bluntly: we can't switch off the internet, so the best answer is a healthy regulated market.
